There are multiple levels in the foundation class. This is level 1, the beginning. Level 1 is for complete beginners who have not used a sewing machine before, or have not fully mastered its use. We are starting from scratch and will be making 2 projects before the class ends. Topics include but are not limited to: - Understanding the sewing machine and it's use - How to use basic sewing tools. - Basic stitches and seams - Sewing on straight lines, curves, and angles - Seam allowances - zipper application Projects: - A French-seamed Pillowcase - A fully lined tote bag with pockets and a zipper Fee covers cost of training, use of our sewing machines in the class, tools needed for the class AND materials needed for the first class. You do NOT need to bring your personal sewing kit for this course. We will supply you with tools you need. If you wish to bring yours, it's fine. Same goes for sewing machine. Policy on Absence: Please note that there is no refund for missed classes. This is only a 3-week program. We will not be able to offer make-up classes unless there is another group taking the class on a different day, and there is room to join the class for the missed lesson. Kindly note that each group class accommodates a maximum of 4 participants. Classes are subject to be cancelled or start date rescheduled due to low registration. If cancelled, you will get your refund via the means with which you paid. If rescheduled, you will be offered a full refund if the new schedule does not work for you. Thank you!
