Alterations and Mending Workshop
This workshop focuses on alterations such as shortening, lengthening, tightening or letting out your clothing. Learn how to alter your clothes to your perfect size. We will also teach mending techniques. Hems can be stitched, rips can be fixed, buttons can be sewn back on and zippers can be changed.

About the event
This is a closed event for a small group where we teach the techniques of mending and altering clothing.
Please come with 2 - 3 clothes that need to be fixed and we'll guide you on how to fix them. The number of garments you complete depends on factors such as alteration/mending technicality, fabric type, and your skill level.
Not only will you minimize waste, which is great for our earth, but you will also be saving money. Tons of money! Guess what, with more practice, you could start a mending/alteration business!
You are welcome to use our sewing machine, or come with yours if you'd prefer that. You will also need your personal sewing kit, hand sewing needle inclusive and threads to match the clothing that needs to be fixed. Â
NOTE: Some sewing experience is required.
