Service Description

It's our spring term! We welcome your child to join our junior sewing club and get introduced to the beautiful art of sewing in our safe and fun studio! No prior experience is needed for this class. Students will learn about seams and stitches, fabrics, patterns, sewing machines, cutting and sewing. TOPICS Week 1: Understanding the Sewing Machine; Sewing Tools; Pedaling Pace; Sewing on Straight Lines Week 2: Sewing on Angles and Curves; Sewing a Bow Headband Week 3 & 4: Sewing a Pillowcase with an Accent Trim and Cuff Week 5 & 6: Sewing a Bucket Hat Week 7 & 8: Sewing a Sunglasses case PLEASE NOTE: The fee covers training and use of our sewing machines in the class. Fabrics are NOT included. A list of fabrics and materials to be used will be sent to you via email. You can also pay to be supplied at a discounted rate of $30/month. If you'd like to be supplied, kindly e-transfer $60+tax for the 8 weeks. This is due by the first class. Interac by email: info@sewwithpjay.ca A personal sewing kit is needed for this program. POLICY ON MISSED CLASSES: Please note that there is no refund for missed classes. Unless it's an emergency, kindly communicate your child's absence at least a week prior. If there is a spot available in another class, we will offer it to you for make-up. This can only be accommodated once a month. If a non-emergency notice is given less than a week to the missed class, we will not be able to fix a make-up class, unfortunately. Thank you!

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation/Reschedule Policy: Payment validates booking. Your spot is reserved immediately after payment is made. No refunds are offered for sewing classes/camps/workshops. Cancellation received at least two weeks before class gives us the time to transfer your fees to another time slot. Cancellations received less than two weeks before class starts, (or no-shows) may result in forfeiture of fees paid if there are no available spaces for makeup classes. If for reasons beyond our control, we need to cancel a class, we will issue a refund in the manner in which you paid or you can transfer your payment to a future session of your choice. Classes are subject to change or cancellation based on low attendance.
